Schweizer Firma setzt auf internationales Anwender-Zertifikat

Die Firmenich S.A., weltweit führend in der Parfum- und Aromenindustrie, führt für ihre Mitarbeiter die European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) ein: Das Genfer Familienunternehmen wurde im Mai als erste Schweizer Firma zum ECDL Test Center zertifiziert. Die Firmenich S.A. gehört damit zu einem Netz von rund 140 Schweizer Schulen, Institutionen und Unternehmen, die Prüfungen zur ECDL abhalten, einem international anerkannten Informatik-Zertifikat für Anwender.

"Wir haben nach Lösungen gesucht, die das Personal beim effizienten Umgang mit intelligenter Software unterstützen ohne dabei gleich Expertenwissen vorauszusetzen", sagt Michel Gessner, Direktor der Schulungsabteilung. Nach ausführlichen Evaluationen hat sich das traditionsreiche Unternehmen für die ECDL entschieden, da diese sich auf grundlegende, praktische PC-Fertigkeiten konzentriert. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist der modulare Aufbau des Zertifikats, der Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten ermöglicht, sich genau die Kompetenzen anzueignen, die am jeweiligen Arbeitsplatz auch wirklich benötigt werden. Die Firmenich S.A. ist mit 50 Niederlassungen in über 30 Ländern präsent und beschäftigt weltweit rund 4'200 Mitarbeiter. Die Personalabteilung plant die Einführung der ECDL für die Schweizer Mitarbeitenden noch in diesem Herbst, in einem zweiten Schritt soll Frankreich folgen. Im Anschluss daran ist die weltweite Umsetzung des Programms vorgesehen (ausserhalb Europas ist das Zertifikat unter dem Namen ICDL oder International Computer Driving Licence bekannt). Die ECDL ist plattformunabhängig und entspricht internationalen Standards, die in 31 europäischen Staaten gelten. In der Schweiz wird das Zertifikat von der Schweizer Informatiker Gesellschaft (SI) getragen und von der eigens geschaffenen ECDL (Switzerland) AG umgesetzt.Es kann in vier Sprachen an rund 140 Schweizer Schulen und Institutionen erworben werden.

Permis de conduire les ordinateurs: une entreprise suisse mise sur ce certificat internationaler

Firmenich S.A., leader mondial de la parfumerie et des arômes, propose la European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) à ses collaboratrices et à ses collaborateurs: l'entreprise familiale sise à Genève est la première société suisse à avoir reçu la certification ECDL. Centre de test depuis mai, Firmenich S.A. fait dorénavant partie d'un réseau de quelque 140 écoles, instituts et entreprises qui font passer les tests menant à la licence ECDL, un certificat d'informatique reconnu à l'échelle internationale, qui atteste à son détenteur des compétences de base dans l'utilisation d'un ordinateur.

"Nous avons cherché des solutions qui aident notre personnel à travailler efficacement et de manière rentable avec les ordinateurs sans pour autant en faire des gourous," explique Michel Gessner, directeur du Département Formation de Firmenich S.A. Après une évaluation détaillée, l'entreprise a opté pour l'ECDL, car ce programme met l'accent sur les compétences de base et les connaissances pratiques des outils utilisés. Un autre atout de l'ECDL est sa conception modulaire qui permet aux candidates et aux candidats de combler leurs lacunes selon un plan de formation personnalisé et de passer uniquement les modules dont ils ont réellement besoin à leur poste de travail. Firmenich S.A. compte 50 sites dans une trentaine de pays et emploie quelque 4200 personnes dans le monde entier. Le Département des Ressources Humaines prévoit les premiers tests ECDL pour son personnel de Suisse cet automne. Suivra l'extension du concept à la France puis à d'autres filiales de la société. Hors de l'Europe, le certificat est connu sous le nom d'ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence). ECDL est indépendant de la plate-forme utilisée et satisfait les standards en vigueur dans 31 pays d'Europe. En Suisse, le certificat est soutenu par la Société Suisse des Informaticiens (SI) et mis en Œuvre par la société ECDL (Switzerland) AG fondée spécialement à cet effet. Disponible en quatre langues, il peut être acquis auprès de quelque 140 écoles et instituts de Suisse.

Swiss Company Chooses International User Certificate

Firmenich, world leader in perfumes and flavours, introduces the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) for its employees: The family enterprise based in Geneva is the first Swiss company operating as an authorised ECDL Test Center. Certified in May, Firmenich is now a member of a network of about 140 Swiss schools, institutions and companies that offer the examinations for the ECDL, an internationally recognised IT-certificate at user level.

"We have been looking for a solution that helps our staff working efficiently with powerful software without requiring expert knowledge," says Michel Gessner, vice-president Corporate Training & Development of Firmenich. As a result of comprehensive evaluations the company decided on the ECDL because of its task-oriented, competency based approach. A further advantage is the modular concept which allows the candidates to concentrate on the skills they really need in their everyday's working situation. Firmenich's worldwide network consists of 50 affiliated companies in about 30 countries and employs around 4'200 people. The Human Resources department plans the first ECDL exams for the Swiss staff during this autumn, followed by the introduction of the concept in France. The next step is the global implementation of the program. Outside of Europe, the certificate is known as ICDL or International Computer Driving Licence. The ECDL is platform independent and meets international standards valid in 31 European countries. The certificate is supported by the Swiss Informaticians Society (SI) and implemented by the ECDL (Switzerland) AG which has been especially set up for this purpose.
